Showcase your organisation’s initiatives at the Beating Famine Conference
The Beating Famine conference aims to highlight the impact of key agricultural and land management practices in addressing widespread land degradation, particularly through such practices as conservation agriculture and agroforestry in the context of sustainable intensification.
The conference provides a unique opportunity for development organisations, governments, agribusinesses, researchers, technical experts, private sector and other organisations to exhibit and showcase their latest interventions and technologies in agriculture in line with the following themes:
- EverGreen Agriculture
- Integrated Food-Energy solutions
- Grazing systems
- Trees for Nutrition
- The role of Gender and Youth in Scaling up
- Farmer Managed Natural Regeneration
- Tree seed and Seedling systems
- Climate-Smart Agriculture
- Conservation Agriculture (With Trees)
- Trees for Food Security
- Landcare and community mobilisation
- Landscape Restoration
- Policies for food and agriculture
- Ecosystem Services and Landscape approaches
- Sustainable intensification
A limited number of poster boards will be available for participants to bring and display a poster related to one of the conference themes. Posters will need to be no more than 40 cm x 90 in size. Poster board space is free and available on a first-come first-served basis at the discretion of the organizers.
Exhibits will be set up in the foyer of the Bingu Conference Centre outside of the plenary hall. An exhibitor will have access to a desk of approximately 1.2 m length and 1.0 m width, with approximately 2.5 meters of wall space behind the desk for the display of poster materials. Exhibit space is free but limited, and will be allocated through the online application on a first-come first-served basis (only include the attachments if you also want to be part of the Virtual Expo).
Please note that printing will not be available on site and printing costs will not be reimbursed.
Are you not able to attend the conference? Don’t worry, our Beating Famine Virtual Expo will offer you the opportunity to showcase your initiatives on the Beating Famine website. Upload your organisation’s logo and attach as many as 6 documents* that best present your projects and interventions: you documents will be published on the Beating Famine website and will reach a global audience of experts and practitioners.
